How to get your book onto the most popular selling platform.
This course is designed for beginners or those seeking to learn the mechanics behind formatting and uploading your self-published book. We’ll focus on how to use Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) and touch briefly on IngramSpark and Smashwords.
If you’re thinking about hiring a graphic designer for the layout of your book, learn to communicate what you want by picking up terms like “bleed” and “aspect ratio.” Pointers on eye-catching cover designs will be provided as well as examples of software and where to find a graphic designer. Ticana will be available for a Q&A after the presentation.
Ticana Zhu studied Visual Communications Design (Graphic Design) at Kent State University. Her first internship was at a small press where self-publishing vehicles were heavily utilized. Since then, she’s gone on to self-publish the Dynasty of Summer duology as well as children’s books such as When the Moon Stopped: A Change’E Retelling, and many more.
