(Grades 6-12) At the end of the first 2 sessions of the Teen Sewing 101 course you will take home an LED wearable and the skills to mend your own clothes.
The Teen Sewing 101 course will explore hand and machine sewing methods over 4 days. This listing is for the Hand Sewing portion of the course. If you want to do both Hand Sewing and Machine Sewing, please sign up for both programs.
This 2 day program will be focused on hand sewing. We will cover methods to mend our own clothes and embroidery/embellishment techniques. You will be able to leave with a hand made LED wearable at the end of day 2.
This program may include activities that could be considered harmful. In order for your child to participate you must sign the Release and Hold Harmless form and return to program location at least one week prior to the program start date. The Fairview Park Branch originally operated out of a small storefront on Lorain Road. Today, the building is large enough to support a book capacity of 147,000 volumes.
