The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) can show parents & caregivers of children how to eat healthier & be more active on a budget!
The nine lessons of the Eating Smart-Being Active curriculum include the latest, research-based information from the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and MyPlate. The lessons address topics about: physical activity; nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices; food preparation and food resource management. The lessons contain a variety of hands-on activities to reinforce learning and allow participants to apply the newly learned information.
*Participants must attend at least six of nine lessons to graduate from the program.*
The Richmond Heights Branch is the only branch in the Cuyahoga County Public Library system co-located with a school. Opened in August 2021, the branch is connected to the Richmond Heights Upper School, but has its own dedicated entrance, allowing the general public to access the branch seven days a week.
This branch is a Student Success Center and Greater Cleveland Food Bank Kids Cafe location.
