A QPR trained instructor from LifeAct is coming to your local library. We invite you to spend an hour to learn the three simple steps it takes to save a life: Question, Persuade, Refer
QPR is not a form of counseling or treatment. Rather it is intended to offer hope through positive action. By learning QPR, you will come to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communications of people in trouble, and gain skills to act vigorously to prevent a possible tragedy.
Suicidal thoughts are common. Suicide threats and attempts are less common, but much more frequent than most people realize. If you are middle-aged or an older adult, you probably know someone who has made a suicide attempt. You may even know someone who died by suicide, and it is very likely you know someone who has thought, or is thinking, about suicide.
By recognizing the suicidal person’s cries for help and offering hope through persuasion toward positive action, suicide can be prevented. But for many of us, we must first overcome our reluctance to become involved and to act boldly.
Please join us for this valuable and life-saving session. Suicide can be prevented by small actions taken by people like you. QPR Gatekeeper Certification is good for two years.

The City of South Euclid will conduct a resurfacing project on South Green Road between Mayfield Road and Cedar Road that we anticipate will result in travel delays. The resurfacing project is expected to begin Monday, April 3, 2023, and continue through late fall. During that time, we encourage all visitors to the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library to plan accordingly and allow themselves ample travel time. The South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch will remain open for normal hours of operation during construction.
