Join us when Beachwood resident Philip Skerry discusses his new book, Writing Errors and Their Ways: Correction Strategies for the Twenty-First Century. If you’ve ever wondered why your English papers were covered with those red marks while professional writers broke all the rules, then Emeritus Professor Philip Skerry has the answer for you. In addition, if you are concerned about the importance of grammar in the world of Artificial Intelligence or if you are confused about which pronouns to use, then you should come to this presentation.
Philip Skerry’s new book is a complement to his earlier book on writing, The Rules of the Game: A Guide to Writing in Standard English. Dr. Skerry has also written two books on the films of Alfred Hitchcock and a children’s book, That Pesky S: A Jed Simon Grammar Mystery, coauthored with his granddaughter.
Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Mac’s Backs-Books on Coventry.
