The Eclipse on Monday April 8, 2024, will be a total solar eclipse. It will be the last total solar eclipse visible to the contiguous United States until 2044. Learn about this once in a lifetime opportunity and how to safely participate.  

Registration begins Thursday, February 29 at 9:00 a.m.

About the branch

The Independence Branch began as a collection operated out of City Hall. After outgrowing that space, the library moved into its own facility and since 1992 the branch has been a part of the city’s municipal complex that includes a recreational facility and senior center.
