Experience this process of memory priming and the value of sharing and listening to others' stories.
This one day workshop provides an introduction to Guided Autobiography (GAB) as developed by Dr. James Birren. The Birren method is a structured approach that uses themes and prompts to develop and facilitate refection and sharing within trusting groups over 6-10 weeks or longer. Each theme builds on the ones before and increases in complexity and intimacy as the writing proceeds.
Participants will have opportunities to work with "mini GAB" experiences derived from the major themes and to share short personal stories in groups.
Pizza lunch will be provided courtesy of the Friends of the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch. You may also bring a brown bag lunch.
