Learn about water bugs, what they need to survive, and how pollution affects them! This program is presented by Tinkers Creek Watershed.
The objective of this program is to introduce children to other types of creek life, what they need to survive, and how pollution affects them. We’ll be engaging the children in an imaginative exercise where they picture themselves as a water bug. Afterwards, there will be an open microscopy demonstration where children can see water bugs (macroinvertebrates) for themselves! Key concepts to be introduced are: macroinvertebrate, stormwater, pollutant, watershed, and more.
