The exhibit features mixed media art inspired by nature, using natural materials. Works encompass paper felting, printmaking, drawing, painting and assemblage.
Gail McClelland graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with majors in Jewelry and Metalsmithing and Medical Illustration. After working for several years as a Medical Illustrator for the Cleveland Clinic and as an independent jewelry artist showing and selling her work at the Cleveland Museum of Art's May Shows and area craft shows, she pursued her goal to share the joy of art with students. She obtained her Masters degree in Education from John Carroll University and worked for the Mayfield City Schools for 24 years as an art educator, teaching students from kindergarten through high school. Recently Gail has explored a variety of mediums to express her current ideas investigating concepts of journey and change.

The Gates Mills Branch became a part of the Cuyahoga County Public Library system in 1948. At the time, the branch operated out of the Southwick House, a former residence that was converted into a historic site. The branch’s current home is a 3,500-square-foot building that is the cornerstone of the Gates Mills downtown revitalization.
