Cleveland-born poet, editor, and teacher returns for a hometown poetry reading. #readwritepoetry
Join us for a poetry reading to welcome home and celebrate Cleveland native Kevin Prufer, author of seven poetry collections.
Publishers Weekly gave his most recent collection a starred review, praising How He Loved Them (Four Way Books, 2018) as remarkable and accomplished. He is editor-at-large of Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing and co-editor of a number of works. Among his awards and honors are four Pushcart prizes, multiple Best American Poetry selections, numerous awards from the Poetry Society of America, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. Prufer earned degrees from Wesleyan University, Hollins University and Washington University. He teaches in the Creative Writing Department at the University of Houston and in the low-residency MFA program at Lesley University.
Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch. Books will be available for purchase and signing, courtesy of Mac's Backs - Books on Coventry.

The City of South Euclid will conduct a resurfacing project on South Green Road between Mayfield Road and Cedar Road that we anticipate will result in travel delays. The resurfacing project is expected to begin Monday, April 3, 2023, and continue through late fall. During that time, we encourage all visitors to the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library to plan accordingly and allow themselves ample travel time. The South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch will remain open for normal hours of operation during construction.
