Let's take the fear and seriousness out of poems and look at them for what they can be: powerful opportunities to pinpoint a moment in time. Meg Thompson's work has appeared in Best of the Net, McSweeney's, and The Sun. Her most recent book of poems, Eruption Sequence, is available from Another New Calligraphy. She lives in Wellington with her husband and two children.
