Grab a book from our shelves or bring one from home and treat yourself to an hour of reading in the company of other writer-readers.
The William N. Skirball Writers’ Center has hundreds of enticing writing books for you to explore: classics like Bird by Bird and new titles like Poetry as Spellcasting. Grab a book from our shelves or bring one from home and treat yourself to an hour of quiet reading in the company of other writer-readers. Any kind of book is fine, though writers often have a writing book (or two) that we've been meaning to try.
We’ll gather in the Writers’ Center at 2:00, find a comfortable armchair or couch, say our hello’s, and then read for an hour. Afterward, you’re encouraged to stay and chat with fellow readers about the books we brought. We’ll have coffee and tea, and you’re encouraged to bring your own mug.
