Join us for this exciting family reading and hands-on lava lamp building program that explores the Scientific Method. Register under one name and add the total number of participants when prompted.
This program will introduce children to the Scientific Method through fun family activities.
Families are encouraged to read any of their favorite Ada Twist books together or read the biographies of the historical female scientists that Ada Twist is modeled after: Marie Curie and Ada Lovelace. Books will be available at the library prior to and following the program.
Parents and caregivers may also use this as an opportunity to dive deeper into the biographical history of Marie Curie and Ada Lovelace. Two videos are available to stream through Kanopy that families may find helpful for learning about these two scientists.
Sponsored by the Friends of Parma Libraries.
Participants may be recorded and/or surveyed to capture this program’s effectiveness. This program may include activities that could be considered harmful. In order for your child to participate you must sign the Release and Hold Harmless form and return it to the program location at least one week prior to the program’s start date. To access the form and learn more about parent options, please visit www.cuyahogalibrary.org/parent-options.
