No registration, but participants sign into the room. 

If the KIC room is full, ask for a waitlist pass.  Stay in the Children’s Room.  Staff will call you in when there is space.

If there is a waitlist, staff may ask the kid(s) who have been in the KIC the longest to exit, if they have had at least 30 minutes.

Family welcome.  Siblings under Grade 1 must be supervised by a caregiver at all times.

Summer Lunch is served 12 PM - 1 PM, Monday to Friday.  All kids eat for free!

Week 1 – Cardboard Castles – Build with MakeDo tools

Week 2 – Domino Runs - Topple dominos

Week 3 – MakerBot Mazes - Build a maze for vibrating HexBugs

Week 4 – Cardboard City – Build with MakeDo tools

Week 5 – Keva Planks and Mazes - Build structures and mazes

Week 6 – Snap Circuits Bric – Build with circuit sets and LEGOTM

Week 7 – Straw Construction - Do a big build with straws

Week 8 – Squishy Circuits – Build with dough and add lights

Beat the summer slide and get a running start into next school year at Cuyahoga County Public Library.  

This summer we are expanding our FREE summer programs for students. Registration is no longer required. Just drop in and enjoy reading, science, technology, engineering, arts and math activities. It's summer fun for everyone! 


This program will use a wide variety of products. By participating in Cuyahoga County Public Library's (CCPL) Summer Fun for Everyone programs, you are agreeing to the terms of CCPL's Release and Hold Harmless Agreement. If your child has allergies, please review the products daily with the children's staff at the host branch. Learn more.

About the branch

Located across from University Hospitals Parma Medical Center and adjacent to city hall, the Parma-Powers Branch offers a full service drive-up window, community meeting spaces and an interactive children’s area featuring artwork by beloved writer/illustrator Rosemary Wells.

This branch is a Student Success Center and a Greater Cleveland Food Bank Kids Café location.
