Join us when author Debra Mak visits to discuss her memoir, Invisible Limp.
About the author:
Debra Mak is sure our world is starving for healing. Invisible Limp is a miraculous blend of raw and real life experiences. It takes the reader through crushing losses where life stops and begins again.
While writing, Mak says she was accompanied by the spiritual force of humanity, and that whatever made her a writer has everything to do with misery and how people can evolve to find their highest and deepest selves in the dirt, in the darkest of times. Mak says she is a living scar that hits the floor each morning, giving thanks for a new day.
Invisible Limp is her wish that readers find the resilience to keep moving through both the terror and beauty of what it means to be fully human.

Opened in 1924, the Berea Branch was the third branch to join the Cuyahoga County Public Library system. It was initially housed in City Hall from 1924-1939 and then a small storefront in 1957 before moving to a standalone building. The branch is located adjacent to beautiful Coe Lake Park.
